Suber S. Huang MD, MBADr. Huang specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina. His expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, complications of eye surgery, vein occlusion, macular pucker, macular hole, retinopathy of prematurity, trauma, genetic syndromes, and ocular inflammation. He is internationally recognized as a retina specialist and is an expert in clinical trials. Dr. Huang is currently the Founder and CEO of Retina Center of Ohio. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is the chair of its Research, Regulatory and Federal Affairs Committee. He is a Past President of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the founder and curator of its Retina Image Bank. He is also a member of the Diabetes Association of Cleveland, the Association for Research and Vision in Ophthalmology, and the Vitreous Society Foundation. He serves as a reviewer for Archives of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, and Current Eye Research. Dr. Huang has been selected as one of The Best Doctors in America” by Best Doctors® to date since 2003 and has been listed by Northern Ohio Live Magazine and Cleveland Magazine as one of the areas “Top Docs” every year since 2004. In 2013, he was given the National Leadership Award by the National Diversity Council and named Person of the year by the Cleveland Sight Center.
